Hi, I’m Zach and my main passion is sound but I’ve also done scriptwriting and directing before. I primarily have experience with onset sound recording and I am experienced with the H4N zoom pro and the Zoom F8 in tandem to shotgun mics, boom poles and lavalier mics. I also have experience in post sound as well; having been trained in audition and pro tools and am in the exciting process of building my own sound library. I mostly enjoy creating low dialogue scripts with an emphasis on sound, although this does not stop my enjoyment of challenging myself through writing wildly different scripts that take advantage of all different aspects of scriptwriting. I enjoy working on horror films due to the unique use (or lack of) sound to build tension, especially in regards to jumpscares. I enjoy working on fast paced dramas as it is a unique challenge for the sound department in being able to record multiple actors’ dialogue at a high quality simultaneously. Although I have limited experience directing, I feel it has improved my understanding of all aspects of film making and ability to understand all the roles of the crew and their importance more.
